ChatGPT connects health data — but access and control matter most
The main story puts an AI assistant next to more sensitive personal data than before. The EU also clarified AI-content transparency, while Sony introduced the FX5 for video creators.

1. ChatGPT Health can connect health data — initially only in the US
OpenAI launched Health for US users on 23 July, allowing them to choose to connect Apple Health and supported medical records. The company says information synced from a disconnected source is deleted from its systems within 30 days. No Finnish launch has been announced.
2. The EU clarified how AI use and AI-generated content must be disclosed
The European Commission published guidance on 20 July for the transparency duties in Article 50 of the AI Act. The rules apply from 2 August 2026 and cover direct interaction with AI systems, machine-readable marking of synthetic outputs, and disclosures for deepfakes and certain AI-generated public-interest content.
3. Sony FX5 brings internal RAW recording to a smaller cinema camera
Sony announced the full-frame FX5 on 22 July. The company lists 5K/60p and 4K/120p recording, Open Gate capture and internal 16-bit X-OCN RAW. European pricing is €5,400 for the body or €6,000 with the XLR handle, with release planned for August.
