Samsung's launch is today — buyers should wait for Finnish details

Today's two strong consumer stories cover a device launch and family digital safety. Samsung will unveil additions to the Galaxy Z range today, while Meta is adding parental supervision to Threads — initially only in the United States.

1. Galaxy Unpacked takes place today

Samsung's official event page says Galaxy Unpacked begins in London on 22 July at 16:00 Finnish time. The company confirms that the stream will cover the Galaxy Z series and the wider Galaxy lineup. As of this morning, the exact devices, prices and Finnish availability have not yet been announced officially.

2. Threads adds parental supervision — starting in the US

Meta said on 21 July that parental supervision will begin rolling out to Threads next week in the United States. Through Family Center, parents can view time spent, set daily and overnight limits, and manage tagging, privacy and sensitive-content preferences. When supervision is enabled, users under 16 need parental approval to make protections less strict.
